SAHS Classes of 1966-1971 Reunion
A memorable evening was had by all on May 19, 2012 as nearly 50 classmates from the classes of 1966-1971 gathered after 41-46 years post graduation. The evening was filled with hugs, kisses and stories about what we have done since graduation. It was great meeting spouses, significant others and friends of our fellow Friars. While most of us still live in NJ, we came from NY, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Rhode Island and California.
The highlight of our evening was an address by our special guest, Coach Bob Hurley. It was an honor to have our very own Hall of Famer share the evening with us. We had a silent auction for a basketball signed by Bob Hurley and contributed $550 from that auction to St. Anthony’s. We also had a 50/50 to benefit St. Anthony’s that generated $450, netting a nice $1,000 contribution to our alma mater.
We shared a beautiful musical montage that had pictures of us while in High School with background music that brought a tear to your eye. We will add pictures from the reunion and distribute to all attendees as a momento. Although its been over 40 years, many of us vowed to keep in touch. Some lunches and dinners are already planned. It was a night to remember where we reminisced about the old days and made new memories.
